Pearfect Pairings: A delicately perfumed tea creation inspired by the elegance of French desserts, the rich aromas of Arabian nights, and the bold spices of Indian cuisine.

Our non-pasteurised, raw kombucha is a testament to the freshest ingredients and meticulous brewing. We start with an organic blend of high mountain teas from Taiwan and raw organic sugar. During its second fermentation, this aromatic flavour combination of Packham Pear, Rose, and Green Cardamom Spice brings forth a luxurious and enchanting taste, perfectly capturing the essence of romance — a truly exquisite blend est. November 2024. At Amanita Kombucha, we believe in using only fresh, seasonal fruits in all our ferments, never anything processed with additives.

The idea of "a pair" beautifully symbolizes unity, as two come together to create something greater. Interestingly, it sounds just like "pear"! Beyond being nutritious, pears have long represented longevity and wealth, holding significant meaning in Chinese culture. In ancient Greek and Roman times, they were valued offerings to goddesses associated with prosperity and femininity.

The Ingredients and Their Uses

Packham Pear: Originally cultivatedi n the late 19th century by Charles Packham, an Australian horticulturist, are celebrated for their plump, irregular shape and smooth green skin. Their creamy texture and delicate sweetness make them versatile for fresh eating or cooking.

Rich in dietary fibre, vitamin C, and antioxidants, Packham pears promote digestive health, bolster immunity, and help neutralise free radicals. Their balance of sweetness and nutrients makes them an ideal choice for a guilt-free snack.

Organic Rose (Rosa damascena): Our organic rose not only imparts a delicate floral note but also offers a myriad of benefits. It helps promote radiant skin by hydrating, reducing fine lines, and supporting natural collagen production. Rose is also known for its mood-boosting and stress-relieving properties, fostering a sense of calm. Furthermore, it supports a healthy immune system and provides gentle digestive comfort.

Organic Green Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum): Often referred to as the Queen of Spice, it is a highly valued and expensive spice due to its labour-intensive harvesting process and significant flavour impact. It ranks as the third most expensive spice in the world, following saffron and vanilla. Its worth stems from its complex blend of citrusy and sweet flavours, as well as its aromatic qualities, which make it versatile in culinary applications from sweet pastries to savoury curries. Cardamom pods can aid in digestion and relieve flatulence, providing warmth to your body.

If you've ever chewed on a green cardamom pod, you may have noticed that it leaves your breath smelling fresh. This freshness is due to cardamom's natural antibacterial properties, which help eliminate the bacteria that cause bad breath. This aromatic spice has tasting notes reminiscent of camphor, with eucalyptus-like, pine, minty, and lemony qualities. These flavors enhance the brew, providing a lasting mint aroma that refreshes your breath and balances its sweetness.
